Discount Auto Spares Ltd brand new MOT testing station based close to Preston town centre now offers dedicated on-site mot testing for cars and light commercial vehicles, our MOT bay has a safe area with refreshments for you to wait in whilst your vehicle is being tested, alternatively you are welcome to drop off your vehicle and collect later.

The MOT scheme is a vehicle road safety test designed to ensure that vehicles more than 3 years old are properly maintained and legally safe to be driven on public highways; in the 1990’s the test developed significantly to include emissions testing for vehicles with catalytic converters fitted.

How Much?

We charge £45.00 for an MOT test. If the vehicle fails the test and vehicle is left with us for repair, we do not charge a re-test fee.

If however, the vehicle fails on any of the minor items listed below and is brought back to us for repair by the end of the next working day, again there will be no re-examination fee.

We have a waiting area with refreshments whilst your vehicle is being MOT’d. Free local collection and delivery service is available within a five mile radius please contact us for further details.
